About Tarang

Dear friends,

I am Ashwani Nigam. Many of you know me as 'Guruji'. I hope now you will know me and my theatre "Tarang" more closely. I came to Moscow on 26th September 1996 as Dance teacher in Cultural Center of Government of India in Moscow named after Shri Jwaharlal Nehru. From 1999 to 2003 worked as chief Choreographer in theatre 'Jhankar' and 'Sangam'. In same time I felt to create something of my own, because to work with someone always mess up my creativity and quality of production. So 14th January 2003 I started my own theatre 'Tarang' and decide not to work under someone.

I hope all my friends will understand my feelings. I would like to inform to all the visitors of our sight that Tarang is officially affiliated from "Prayag Sangeet Samiti". One of the oldest Music universities in India and every year conducting Dance Examination in which Theory and Practical exams are held and passed out students get certificates from India, recognizing their talent equally in India as Indian students.

This is not all. Three times in the span of year I conduct seminar in which in 4-5 days participants of the seminar learn one classical, one north-Indian folk dance and some technical compositions of Kathak dance.
